Hi,

I feel that the Chinese airlines would push hard for consolidation before the Beijing Olympics. This would help them in synergizing their strengths (routes) to locations that are likely to bring in more visitors. This would also help in hedging fuel price increases keeping in mind the recent spurt which led the crude oil prices to their all time high.
