American Airlines Matches New Southwest Holiday Travel Airfare Sale

This morning in the 10:00am airfare distribution — American Airlines released new low airfares for dozens of cities that appear to be matching a Southwest Airlines Christmas Holiday Sale.

Finally a brief respite from relentless airfare increases.

Don’t get your hopes up to high, they have blacked out the most popular days around the holidays, but if you are flexible you should be grabbing these up now.

The travel period is between December 15th and January 15th with blackouts on (21,22,23,26,27,29,30 of December and 1, 2 of January).

An example city pair is Dallas to Los Angeles $168+tax (click here to see the calendar dates).

The booking inventory is “O” and “Q” class which is Americans most tightly controlled and cheapest, so its not likely to last long.
