They should add a fourth line for passengers with metal implants, hips, knees, etc. We travel a lot and the TSA agents at our home airport know my wife and her bionic implants and "breeze" her through the pat-down and wand inspections.

I agree. It doesn't hurt to try this. If it fails it doesn't cost anything more than the cute printed signage.

If youre a seasoned travel how many times have you fidgeted in frustration behind a novice who cant seem to empty that last pocket of change? Theyre just not sure what to keep on person versus shove through the x-ray, and have a way of slowing down the entire que.

Likewise if youre traveling with a large group or family, have some special items for screening, or just need some breathing room admist the crush it can be overwhelming to have pushy business travelers and light packers getting antsy behind you.

Even as a "seasoned pleasure traveler" there might be times I WANT a slower pace - like carrying some valuables, or just don't want the crush and fast pace. (Although most times I do.)

I'm one of those guys who's handing out bins and stripping off my belt four people behind the metal detecter to speed things up wondering why everyone still has their coats on up until they pass through.
