The Fortune 500: Seven Airlines Make the List

No airline cracked the top 100, but there were seven carriers that made Fortune magazine’s annual ranking of America’s largest corporations, and here they are: #109 AMR (American) #124 UAL (United) #129 Delta #178 Continental #213 Northwest #228 US Airways Group #267 Southwest I’ll tell you which airlines made the Fortune 1000 list, coming right up.

Five other airlines rounded out Fortune’s top 1000 largest U.S. corporations and here’s the list:

• #599 Alaska Air Group
• #616 SkyWest
• #705 JetBlue
• #815 AirTran Holdings
• #977 ExpressJet Holdings
