When we went to pay the balance today, we were told that there would be an additional $200 per person fuel surcharge (on an already extravegantly expensive $1600.00 pp ticket) Is it legal to add this charge months after reserving and paying our deposit? It seems like if one airline chose not to raise its prices they would make money because everyone would flock to that airline. Any insider information about upcoming summer airfare sales? I'm still holding out to purchase my end of July travel tickets to California. Prices right now are still more than $150 higher per ticket than they were last year.
