The reason we have history on our site is to make better buying decisions and i agree some markets may seem like they are maxed out but if oil continues up thru $130 and more in the coming weeks then that will be passed on to the consumers until they signficantly push back. Just this evening one of the major airlines hit Hawaii with a $40+ increase in base airfare. With 11 successful increase this year and a few more to go -- I'll stick with this tip -- and hope that you prove me wrong. Unless you are willing to travel on Tue, Wed or Sat your not likely to see anything resembling a sale for travel this summer before kids go back to school. I don't believe that fares in this market at least are not going to get any higher this summer. They are already set on MAX. The only harm I see in waiting is any additional fuel surcharge the airlines may try to impose. The upside potential in waiting is greater. If you are somewhat flexible, watch the deals daily and wait for soft points in the market at which time buy immediately. Watch for last two weeks in August, but also other times during the summer as well. The airlines are counting on you panicking and buying right about now.
