I saw the Delta fares to Cincinnati jump about $250 in one day and stay there. I need to fly to West Virginia and Charleston was cost prohibitive. I was watching Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus and Dayton won. Cincinnati and Columbus are notoriously much more expensive when flying Delta. Continental is the airline to take into Columbus but the only time it's low enough to do it is in January.

The thing is, when flying to Dayton on Delta, sometimes they'll put a layover into Cincinnati. The flight is STILL less expensive than if I were to be flying into Cincinnati.

Rick, we posted the airfare sale early yesterday, and personally took advantage of it too. The UA fares were mileage upgradeable to boot.

The fares lasted period 12 hours. That is the way of the industry right now.
