A Bit of a Silver Lining — Airlines Improve On-Time Performance

Well, finally, some good news, amidst all the bad:

More airlines are actually arriving at their destinations when they’re supposed to – according to government statistics.

Overall on-time arrival for April: 77.7 % — in March: 71.6 %.

Best Airlines (on-time arrival rates):

Worst Airlines (on-time arrival rates):

    I’d say that Southwest’s performance is indicative of the way that they run their airline.

    However Hawaiian is not. Rather, their performance is primarily based on the vast majority of their flights being unaffected by weather, of 100 mile duration, and so close to their (HNL) hub.
