It’s Official: 19th Airfare Hike Attempt of the Year Fully Matched

The latest fuel surcharge increase ($20 roundtrip) that was initiated by American Airlines yesterday, can be called a success. Success in that all the major airlines have joined in. Not much of a success for us passengers, of course. And the rationale for this latest hike is the same old story: The cost of fuel is going nuts. If you’re keeping track, this is the 13th successful airfare hike, out of 19 attempts.
