alaskatg: Roger that Delta handles Sun Country-- we're flying the latter to ANC in August and our ticket counter (and I presume everything else related) will be Delta's.

@Mike: Here at ANC, several airlines with limited or seasonal service outsource their operations to other airlines or companies...for example, I believe DL provides ground ops for SY, DE, and US.

I don't think part-weekly service would work because of the "big picture." I don't think the ground crew, customer service agents, and other alike people who work for continental in these closing locations want to come in at random hours only 3 times a week. I know its better than no job but I think the logistics of turn around time of an aircraft and volume of traffic just isn't cutting it.

Am an avid Continental fan flying out of Chattanooga and I'm really disappointed to learn of the pullout. I agree with Gil - why can't they just cut back the number of days and trips instead of leaving us stranded? Other Chattanooga options pale in comparison and I know the Chattanooga airport would be happy to have the part time business. Atlanta airport is a nightmare.

What a shame about Cali! It was great while it lasted for the past 3 years. Instead of pulling out entirely, Continental should at least offer service 3 days a week. We fanatics for Colombian women will now have to use American or Avianca.

That stinks - sometimes you could find great deals from those small Southern cities - Chattanooga in particular. Oh well. Guess this makes Hartsfield even more of a white elephant for me!
