		<description>It's appalling what's going on with ticket taxes. I live in Copenhagen and have been looking for a ticket for my mother to come over. On nearly ALL the discounted tickets I've found, the taxes are actually HIGHER than the ticket price! While this may be understandable for an airline like Ryanair, when they advertise fares for 5 bucks, it is completely unacceptable for tickets of $400, where the final ticket price ends up being over $900.

		<description>Good post, here and the linked article on ABCNews. I had not thought about the compounding effect of these taxes on rising prices and fuel surcharges, especially the "double-dipping" on fuel.</description>
