ExpressJet to Close Down — Mostly

Filed under: Airlines, Fuel Surcharges — Rick Seaney @ 9:14 am

The Houston-based ExpressJet is ceasing its “branded flights” beginning this September — due to rising fuel costs.

However, the carrier will continue some operations as Continental Express (ExpressJet was originally spun-off from Continental in 2002).

If you have tickets for an ExpressJet flight after September 1st, contact the company for a refund.

  1. Hi Rick,

Quick correction: ExpressJet will be operating through September 1st so anyone with tickets for travel on or after September 2 can request a refund.
