A New York woman has filed a $10 million lawsuit after being arrested and, in her view, “roughed up” by TSA agents at Washington’s Reagan airport last year. The video is a bit of a “wild card” in a he said/she said situation. The tape shows the woman being grabbed and pushed; but there is no audio so we cannot hear anything the woman says prior to this and the airport police (who were called to the scene) say the woman was uncooperative and the tape doesn’t tell the whole story. I certainly don’t know the whole story, but put me down as being pro-security and anti-rough stuff. |

I do not think it matters what she said, the TSA employee was out of line. She is not shown waving a weapon, probably she did not move fast enough for him and perhaps she made the big mistake of asking why - for that she is forcefully hand cuffed and clearly thrown onto a metal table. TSA employees tend to act , at times, as if they are entitled to push passengers around - all in the name of “security”! They are quick to shout at people, rudely demand this or that- men, women, children, the handicapped etc. While I am all for good security, I resent the overbearing behavior of some TSA employees. We are not criminals, the fact that someone questions what they are doing is NOT grounds for shoving and throwing people around. Perhaps the TSA employee who did the shoving had a bad day, perhaps he hates young blond women, - who knows - his behavior was out of line - does not matter what she said - this is not Nazi Germany. Thw war on terror is not an excuse to be a bully.
