More Soaring Oil Fallout: Tough Times in Toledo

Filed under: Airlines, Airport — Rick Seaney @ 10:15 am

Toledo, Ohio’s airport is expected to lose half its air traffic by year’s end as airlines pull their flights.

The latest blows, according to the AP, come from Delta Connection and Continental, which will end flights from Toledo later this year.

That will leave the city with just 8 daily departures (and a handful of flights to Florida).

Meantime, a clerk at one of the Toledo airport’s gift shops said the place is now riddled with “dead spots”.
