The folks at Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport are pushing ahead with an interesting idea: A Pet Hotel and Resort on the airport grounds. I can see why a lot of travelers would appreciate this: most kennels close in the evenings, but the DFW puppy palace would be open 24/7 — so even if your flight doesn’t get in til midnight or so, you can still pick up good old Spot. Plus, there would be a webcam on the property, so you could monitor your animal anytime you open up your laptop (even on the plane as it looks like Wi-Fi will be hitting most aircraft soon). If all goes well, DFW hopes to award a contract by the end of the year. |
