We all saw this coming… The Air Transport Association of America — the U.S. airline trade group — is suing the FAA over its plan to auction off slots at some airports. The group thinks this plan will increase traffic at Newark, while the FAA thinks it will improve matters. For what it’s worth, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which manages all the big New York-area airports (and that includes Newark) also opposes the FAA in this matter. |
