Are you planning to go to the Super Bowl in Tampa this year? Or maybe looking for a special Valentine’s Day escape? Let us know. This year, I’d like to hit the “big events” that are important to you - and provide you with information on airfare trends and sales - in plenty of time for you to take advantage of any deals. Earlier this week, I wrote that many people heading to Washington for the inauguration of our new president will pay an “inaugural airfare surcharge” (and frankly, if you’re in the Northeast, your best bet is probably - take the train). Of course, there will be some decent prices - and the new and improved FareCompare.com is where to go to find them. Want to go to Hollywood for the Oscars? Let me know. Are you a March Madness fan? Tell me about it. Want to see the Indy 500? I’m here to help. Leave your comments below - tell me where you’d like to go — and I’ll get busy, doing what I always do - helping you find the very best airfares available. |

Hi, I am looking to fo to Hawaii with my kid in July for a few weeks. We’d like to visit Oahu and maybe smaller islands like Molokai and/or Lanai. Can you find us any good deals?

My son’s Boy Scout Troop is doing a wildersness hike at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. They will be flying from Savannah, Ga to Denver, Co and back next July (4 adults, 8 scouts). I have been “volunteered” to work on the air travel portion of the trek. When should I purchase the tickets? Is going through “group sales” worth it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Going from Milwaukee to Vegas in January. My wife and I want to leave the morning of the 14th and return in the evening on the 17th. One day last week fares dropped like a rock ($155) and the next day they are back to what they are now. When should I buy?
