Flight Attendant Tries to Pass Thru Security Checkpoint with Two Guns

UPDATE: The police now say one of the guns WAS loaded. See more details here.

A female flight attendant that police say works for Great Lakes Aviation is under investigation for an incident that occurred Saturday at Denver International – when officials found two guns in her possession.

Early reports indicated the guns were not loaded, but now, according to the latest from the Denver Post, a police spokesman says he can’t comment on that.

The woman has been released, but the cops are still investigating, and so is the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) and so is the Denver District Attorney’s office. No comment so far from Great Lakes. According to its website, the carrier flys to mostly smaller cities (Laramie, Moab and the like) on 19-seater turbo-prop planes.

It seems to me that there are a lot of pieces missing to this story, including – were the guns loaded or not? Did she declare the weapons? Had she forgotten she had them?

And, bottom line – what was she thinking?

It’s quite obvious that she wanted to be prepared for loud irritating passengers. What better way to shut them up than to point a gun at them?
