Want to Play the Slots in Your Airport? Miami & Baltimore May be Next

Look out, McCarran. Officials in Miami-Dade County could be installing slot machines at Miami International – they authorized a measure that gets the ball rolling on that – though it’s not clear when this could happen.

And, in Maryland, a bill has been introduced in the legislature that would okay installation of 3,000 slot machines in Baltimore/Washington airport. Again, no time frame is given.

In both cases, lawmakers are looking for new ways to raise money, since airports (like everything else) have taken such a hit in this flailing economy of ours.

So – what’s it mean for passengers? Well, if you believe SlotAdvisor.com, it means some fun, but not much of a payoff. Please understand that since I’m no expert in this field, you’re on your own with SlotAdvisor’s advice:

“Most fliers are never coming back to play. There’s no need to please the customers. So the slots at airports are set to pay back at the lowest scale legally allowed in that particular state.” - SlotAdvisor.com
