Send Us Your Pet Photos for a New FareCompare Feature

December 11, 2009 | Posted in: Passengers, Pets

“What this blog needs is a weekly (maybe daily?) pet picture!” — or so say the many, many pet lovers at FareCompare’s HQ.

Which is why we’re starting a new blog feature called, the “FareCompare Fly Pet” (until we come up with a better name, that is).

Readers, we need your help: Send in photos of your pets (“Head shots are best,” says my eager editor) to customer.service@farecompare.com, and please put “Pet” in the subject line. Give us a few details about your animal, and permission to use the picture.

No, FareCompare will never waver in its main mission – finding you the cheapest flights available, – and no, we’ll never be DailyPuppy or CuteOverload, either.

This is strictly for fun. I don’t know if this will become a permanent feature, but let’s see how it goes (and how many photos we get). Thanks!

  1. Hi Rick, I enjoy and appreciate FareCompare, and read most of your emails. However, if you add pet pictures, I promise to read 1000% of anything you write……OK, maybe just 100%! Since my dog is the center of my universe, I will be happy to oblige your request for a photo. “SquirtyPants” even has his own page on my website, http://www.RossowResources.com and considers himself quite handsome. Photos will be forthcoming. We must sort through three hundred of them to find his best head shot. Maybe you could call this new feature FurCompare!!! Mary E. Rossow & SquirtyPants

    Mary,
I thought someone was pulling my leg with a name like “SquirtyPants” but I see from your site I was wrong! Very cute dog. Should I ask the origin of the name? Now remember, this is a family website…
Meanwhile, don’t forget to send your pictures to customer.service@farecompare.com.
    Best,
    Rick

  3. Hi Rick,
Origin of the name? A “rescue” that arrived with his name, and I committed to not changing it.
I think it was because he was the runt of the litter, certainly not for ’squirting’ indoors, as he was completely trained from day one. And another of my commitments to him, myself, and the world-at-large was to always clean up after him, and so far we have a perfect record ! My friends think I’m nuts when I even pick ‘it’ up on country roads….I’m just exercising my “positive habit muscle”. SquirtyPants is with me 100% of the time…all corporate and residential appointments, all keynote speeches and workshops, dentist/doctor appointments, planes/trains/automobiles…we function as a team. We also go to hospitals to spread the love & puppy kisses with folks who need a little cheering up. He was even on television during a PBS/KQED pledge drive, causing the calls and donations to spike every time the camera panned on him. He is much more famous than I will ever be!
    Warm Socks,
    Mary & SquirtyPants
P.S. So……what did you think about “FurCompare”? I hope it at least made you LAUGH!!!!

  4. Rick Seaney says:

    Mary,
FurCompare did make me laugh, just like your notes. You sound like a role model for pet owners.
    Many happy years with SquirtyPants!
    Rick
