Hero of the Hudson: Capt. Sully’s Pilot Cap Auction for Charity

Capt. Chesley Sullenberger – we know him as “Capt. Sully” – has donated his pilot’s cap for an auction on eBay that will benefit some public schools in the San Francisco Bay area.

You can see the cap, and bid if you like – here on eBay. As of this writing, bidding on the cap passed the $5,500 mark – and there are still a few days left to the auction (until Dec. 14). Perfect Christmas gift!

I know what you’re going to ask, but no – it wasn’t the cap Sully was wearing when he made that daring landing in the Hudson – because, he wasn’t wearing a cap that day.

I’m not sure why, but if you happen to be in Pasadena on January 1st, perhaps you can ask him – he’ll be there as Grand Marshal of the Rose Parade.
