Ok… Still confuse. First of all, “How do I know the suitcase is not being overweight?” At home we can’t be sure the suitcase can be more than 50lb. It not like we own or have a suitcase scale @ home to be sure of or any of the weight scales. This is crazy!!!
Step on a scale with the bag and without the bag and subtract your weight. The large size bag in a suitcase set is usually over 50 lbs if you fill it. Shoes and toiletries are especially heavy.
Maria,
Thanks for the sensible advice. Also, a lot of travelers buy luggage scales – it’s just a small, handheld device – I’ve seen them all over, including at Sears for around ten bucks.
Cheers,
Rick
Rick… Really?! I didn’t even know that we can buy the so-called, luggage scale. Great and bummer!!!
Maria… Thanks. Not really a sensible idea. But whatever worked for you. : )
